Content Writer & Social Media Manager Job Description: Full time Female content writer with expertise in Social Media handling for developing unique content for our corporate website, company web properties and newsletter, including technical writing. The copy writer will be given a brief about the type of information and content to be placed live on the website. The writer will be expected to draft the content which will contain words (key words) that attract and retain users on a website. It should further be easy to read, offering the information in easy to understand clusters and written specifically for a specific topic. As the Social Media Manager she will implement the Company’s Social Media Strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging product adoption. This role coordinates with the internal Marketing and PR teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a social media referral network. We are looking for a quick learner that can multitask and perform projects under tight deadlines. You need to be able to work under little supervision and be a team player. We are a fast paced FMCG company and on the cutting edge of technology. Job Responsibilities • Research, write and edit web and intranet content from scratch. • Implement the social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the Company to ensure its effectiveness and encouraging adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the company’s products and services. • Write web content based on material supplied by our technical team. • Edit print documents for publication online. • Edit web pages for on-screen readability. • Work with the Product development team to ensure social media tools (for ex. FB connect, Sharing buttons) are kept up to date. • Write material for e-zines. • Proofread final draft of web pages. • Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed • Finding and developing new ideas for web content. • Assuring web content is user-friendly and key-worded for SEO benefit. • Create content that allows the site visitors to get the information they want quickly and efficiently. Efficient and focused web content gives readers access to information in a user-friendly manner. • Regularly feedback insights gained from social media monitoring into the Marketing and Editorial teams, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion. • Write titles. • Write content for Meta keyword and description tags. • Write alt-text for images. • Write long description for images, frames and I-frame tags. • Write content of no frames tags. • Evaluate website content for approach, readability, legibility and interactivity. Requirements: • Two or more years of college, preferred majors are Media Studies, Marketing, English or Business. • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Digg, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios. • Some experience creating or sourcing content for websites/magazines/blogs (any URLs provided will be beneficial). • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships. • Ability to write engaging online content. • Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly. • Confident communication skills and excellent English, especially written.
