How to Book an Online UKTB Test Appointment in LAHORE, KARACHI, ISLAMABAD & MIRPUR AJK : All applicants have to make an appointment, over the phone, before coming for the test. To book an appointment please call the number below. Please note that we will need your passport number to make an appointment. What is Tuberculosis? Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by germs that are spread from person to person through the air. TB usually affects the lungs, but it can also affect other parts of the body, such as the brain, the kidneys, or the spine. Persons with TB can die if they do not get treatment. TB can be cured by proper treatment, but the disease will be harmful if not treated properly. For pregnant applicants : The chest X-ray can cause difficulties for pregnant applicants or those for whom it is unsafe to have a chest X-ray. Hence pregnant applicants have three options: Postpone the UKTB screening until after the delivery. Do the chest X-ray with extra protection, such as double protective abdominal shielding. However this should be undertaken only with the recommended advice of your obstetrician. Undergo the sputum test. This will require you to provide sputum samples to the IOM Medical Health Assessment Centre on 3 consecutive mornings. The results will be ready in 8 to 10 weeks. What to Bring : You are requested to come with the following documents and details for you and each of your accompanying family members, including your children under 11 years of age. Required Documents : Original passport (valid for minimum 6 months from the day of appointment) One Photocopy of the biodata page of your passport National Identity Card Three recent Passport-sized colour photographs with White Back Ground . Previous Medical records and CXRs where applicable (You should not conceal any medical conditions, including pregnancy status) UK address & UK phone number Pakistani Permanent address Your E-mail address Health Assessment Processing Fee : Only IOM Deposite Slips will be accepted for Payment of the Processing fee For adults: 7,000 PKR For children under 11 Years : 5,500 PKR Certificate Collection : If the results of the health assessment are found to be normal, you may collect your certificate on the same day, in the afternoon, or on any other day during our certificate collection time. If the results of your health assessment are not normal and need to be given in for a second opinion, you will be called and informed about the requirement of 2 to 3 days waiting time. Certificates can be collected at the IOM Medical Health Assessment Centre Validity of the UKTB Medical Certificate issued by the Medical Health Assessment Centre This certificate is valid for up to 6 months from the date of examination for applicants who are identified as free of TB. For applicants who have had contacts with active TB patients or suspected TB patients, the certificate is valid for 3 months. Views: 1994
